Like The Rest Eli Pafumi Gone is the perfect phase At the start it all seems okay A spark so bright your eyes go blind Stumbled into love in a couple days Distracted by the tiny things Hope to find yourself a diamond ring Mesmerized by random eyes Hoping love is not just a fools dream CHORUS We’re all anxious to find What we can’t define Foolishly persuaded When our heart outweighs our mind Easy to ignore what’s wrong Lost in foolish sights Oh but love’s bittersweet confliction Never felt so right We teach our hearts to crave those lies The one’s our parents said they can’t describe We’re in the dark with love’s sweet game Dismiss the fact we still don’t realize I’m not saying love ain’t real But youthful whim is not the way it feels It should ache your heart to watch them leave Not temporary truth you keep concealed CHORUS I’ve noticed broken promises I’ve seen the faults in all they’ve pledged That’s not to say this can’t exist When you I can’t be like all the rest CHORUS
2.
Scarlett McQueen Eli Pafumi Scarlett wore sneakers she got at the penny mart Had scuffed up knees and a broken heart Searching for someone to light her flame Cuz' her busted heart was out of butane CHORUS She makes me sad in the most beautiful ways It's like rolling tides when she calls my name She speaks scattered words, not knowing what they mean Still I can't help but love my Scarlett McQueen Her rusted smile deceives the eye When she says she's okay I know it’s a lie Her feet are a compass but she can't seem to find north She's lost all her weapons; doesn't know she's in the war CHORUS You've disappeared for far too long Now I want to be the one to prove the world wrong Oh Scarlett McQueen, you're a beautiful mystery It's what's behind the bones you should let everyone see She makes me laugh in the most beautiful ways I come up for air when she calls my name Her mended words write a poem that sounds so sweet Oh how I love my Scarlett McQueen

Madman 03:25
Madman Eli Pafumi Oh I feel lost In tiny spaces There’s no directions For hopeless cases Some love the fight Some love the ending Oh it ain’t easy No bliss in pretending CHORUS Living is risky Oh it’s bound to hurt A broken heart, a worried head We’re all carrying dirt Only a madman has it good I see the reds, I see the greens But I only feel the blues I say too much ‘Till I can’t find words My own disaster Simplicity preferred Oh it may be rough But I like to blame lies Don’t know what to say CHORUS Oh oh oh…. CHORUS Love feeling your kisses But hate when you’re gone There’s beauty in living But no fun to move on Tend to the scrapes Stich up the scars Watch it get better but Oh but healing is hard Living is risky Oh it’s bound to hurt A broken heart, a worried head We’re all carrying dirt Only a madman has it good I see the reds, I see the greens But I only Yes I only Oh I only Yes I only feel the blues And I ain’t no madman Cuz I only feel the blues What a wicked disguise

Tomorrow’s Home Eli Pafumi My feet have only wandered The edges of the east coast My eyes have longed for city lights That teach you not to feel alone I keep searching for adventure But the suburbs keep me blind Don’t get me wrong; I love my mama’s voice But I need to follow mine CHORUS Chances seeping through these cracked walls With tomorrow waiting to break my fall But I’ve found myself in this familiar home When the measure of our years take hold It’s easy to get lost When you’re used to standing still But when life relies on paychecks Seeing more ain’t at my will I read in yesterday’s paper California got some sun I bet there’s lessons in west coast waves That make an old soul feel so young CHORUS Passport stamps and stacks of tickets Mark the maps of where I go But when you live through retold stories You only learn what you already know And I’ve heard of silky sunsets in springtime That ease away the past They say that man needs a shelter But not when shelter holds you back CHORUS
5.
Scars Like Ours Eli Pafumi You pull white cotton sheets above your crinkled little nose Hide your eyes from the light of that raindrop stained window You aid your “sorrys” with a smile for kicking in your sleep So you wake me up with kisses, leaving forgiveness on my cheek When we call I do the talking I take each ache and make it mine Because I see through love’s light lenses So scars like ours are hard to find My legs grew shaky from walking in those old, worn, brown shoes And my eyes were carrying bags from insomniatic blues But you held tightly to my fingers like you were afraid to loose my hand And you sang sweetly in my ear that I’d always be your man When we call you do the talking To lift the aches out from my mind Because you see through love’s light lenses So scars like ours are hard to find We took off fast Leaving burn marks on the road Easy to love the past From your car window And my vision ain't blurred But the path seems a little more clear We found truth like it was treasure Even though that's not how it appeared 'Cause when we call, we both do the talking To life the aches out from our minds Because we see through love’s light lenses So scars like ours are hard to find

Luxury 03:25
Luxury Eli Pafumi I may never know luxury But my love is a rich reality Can't buy you all the treats you please But let my kisses be your currency May not have traveled those seas Seen paradise and lands of dreams Not saying I feel jealousy Just trapped trying to exceed CHORUS I know you've been given a lot Hope I’m worth more than you thought It's more than wealth you need Let my love be your luxury No separate house on private land A life I just don't understand Can’t provide you a note of hand Doesn't mean my life ain't grand A subconscious tendency An altered mentality Disbands creativity When wants, wants outweigh the needs CHORUS I've seen struggled times I know you've realized But you're now on my mind A mixed internal rhyme Compared to an outer shell When wealth don't do so well I know my love won't sell But for you I fell You’re my luxury, You’re my luxury You’re my luxury, You’re my luxury You’re me luxury, Oh you’re my luxury CHORUS

Natalie and the Supermoon Eli Pafumi Bicycle wheel caught in a sidewalk crack Mental note to watch my back Minuscule occurrences Memories of fragmented faces CHORUS Natalie and the Supermoon You were there before I even knew Like a magician pulled you out his sleeve Camouflaged by my minds debris Natalie and the Supermoon Pixelated before just like a cartoon I overlooked the present and forgot the past I wish this Supermoon would last I wonder what happens all those times we blink I know it's short but a man can only think When we close our eyes we don't recognize what's true Don't ignore the hidden trapped under the roots CHORUS Randomness is favored by the wild And nature’s odds choose to take you from my side You took a rocket ship and flew away so far So I slung my rope, and I joined you in the stars Natalie and the Supermoon You were there before I even knew Like a magician pulled you out his sleeve Camouflaged by my minds debris Natalie and the Supermoon Pixelated before just like a cartoon I overlooked the present and forgot the past I've found my Natalie at last

about

As Eli continues to play bigger and bigger venues, his fan base continues to grow. His mix of pop, folk and blues, along with his guitar skills have had him compared to John Mayer, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz.

When asked about his album, Eli had this to say, "I hear music in everything. There is inspiration to be found in every little thing I see each day and its a matter of filtering it so that something ordinary can become spectacular. This line up of songs does that for me. It’s about love, or that one special girl, or this one problem I have, or this singular wish - but now I can discover them in my own way through music. It’s been a pretty incredible experience watching the evolution of songs I played in my bedroom become songs performed and perfected in the studio. Albums, for any artist, are a statement about what the artist is feeling and what they are going through at the time they release it and this album is no different. Each song is a reflection of my own individuality: the urges I have to venture off in the world around me, the desire I have to better understand the confusing emotions of love and the need to communicate ideas I sometimes can’t express only in words. This album is just as much for me as it is for the listener. I want people to hear my music and connect with what I have to say and recognize that we are all figuring things out together - even though my angsty young mind might process things differently. I’m beyond excited to release seven songs that I care so deeply about both musically and emotionally and I can only hope that others are as excited to listen as I am."

With this debut album we see an artist on the cusp of greatness. "Pafumi's expressive voice and poignant lyrics have caught the attention of audiences. His songwriting journey has been just as much about hard work as it has about inspiration. His songs show an impressive maturity and skilled use of language." - Leesburg Today

"Even performing solo acoustic, Eli Pafumi is a captivating acoustic singer/songwriter who has a fantastic voice and plenty of groove. I was most impressed by his ability to play such a rhythmically complex guitar part while improvising the vocal melody simultaneously. Plus, he’s a skilled and tasteful lead and solo player as well. Sounds like he should be opening up for John Mayer. Looking forward to staying in touch with Eli as his career progresses!" - Conrad Osipowicz, Blue Room Productions
